Ralph A. Aiello

July 1, 1933 - December 1, 2024

Ralph A. Aiello, of Belleville, passed away December 1, 2024, at 91 1/2 years old.

Ralph had a distinguished career in the advertising world, as Vice President and Creative Director at Wells Rich Greene (WRG). Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards for his innovative and impactful radio and TV advertising work, leaving a lasting mark on the industry.

A proud veteran, Ralph served as a corporal in the United States Army, where he demonstrated the same dedication and commitment that he would carry throughout his life. His service was a testament to his sense of duty and love for his country.

Ralph was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, where he actively participated in community and charitable endeavors. His faith and generosity shaped much of his life and the lives of those around him.

In addition to his professional and service achievements, Ralph led an active and joyful life. He was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying bowling, baseball, racquetball, camping, canoeing, fishing, and bike riding. Ralph was also a member of the Wayne County Sportsman's Club. His zest for life was infectious, and he found joy in both competition and camaraderie.

Ralph will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of creativity, service, love of life, and a great sense of humor will continue to inspire those who remain.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Hieber, his children Anne (Gerald) Brow, Grace Aiello (Jim Denniston), Raphael Aiello (Lee Andrus), his grandchildren Theresa Rose (Russel) Bloss, Alex Aiello, Gerald Brow, Anne and Alexander Denniston, and great grandchildren Oliver and Lillian Bloss. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and longtime friends and neighbors.

Ralph is preceded in death by his oldest child, Anthony Aiello, his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Ralph Walters, and his parents Ralph and Grace Aiello.

Visitation for Ralph will be held Thursday, December 5th, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Eulogy Service at 6:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. He will lie in state Friday, December 6th, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville. Following the luncheon, a committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Soop Cemetery, 49250 Old Denton Rd., Belleville, where Ralph will be laid to rest.
