I met him on the playground at Audubon. He had a plastic airplane with pistons in front that actually worked. So many memories. I remember when Norman and I went to see It's a mad, mad world. It was a week after the Kennedy assasination which made it less funny. I had just spoken with him in December. He got wrapped up with one of his Kuhn tales. I was going to call back...but that's the way it goes. I no longer drive otherwise I might think of the luncheon. Good bye old friend.

I met Mitch in fifth grade at Audubon Grade School in Rock Island, IL. We became good friend's and shared many adventures throughout our lives. Our friendship continued for the next 66 years until his passing. RIP my friend.
