I Remember...

How could I forget those many snowy, icy, trips to Kalamazoo at Christmas that Jim, I, and our six kids traveled by car! Christmas with family was important to Duke.

The strange things we remember! When Duke was about 10 and I was 9. We got into a scuffle during which our dog, Rusty, growled viscously and bit Duke. Duke was so shocked; he said "why would Rusty do that to me, the one who loves him most, pets him, and is so good to him; and not mean or reprimanding like you. "It's simple Duke", I said. "I'm the one who feeds him." Duke, wherever you are be happy, and give my regards to Rusty! Love ya, George

Duke was always smiling. And quite the jokester. He loved to get people laughing and was just a hell of a nice guy. Always helping others and involved in charitable causes. Good man!

Volunteering at the wintergames just warmed your heart being around Duke! Our sincerest sympathies to the family.
