Carl was one of the best. Being a young golf professional in the mid 1970's I had the pleasure of meeting Carl's parents and they were beyond kind to me at Michigan PGA events we were all at. When I transitioned into Golf Sales in the early 1990's is when I met Carl. We became friends quickly but also had our professional sides in spirited business dealings. I enjoyed every time I met with Carl. As years went by Carl was nothing but gracious to me in both business and casual settings. He is a legend in the Golf Industry and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Rose family. God Bless you Carl... Jim Dougherty
Memories
The Roses, Allans, Andersons and my family the Bookers, were all in Florida at the same time. All the families would get together at Wiggins Pass and have a cook out and throw the football, or meet at each others houses. The Allans were the first ones here in Naples and we all followed. All the dads hung out playing golf at Palm River Country Club, now its called the La Playa. We would all come to Florida in the winter. I remember the first day of going to Naples high school, my sister Vivian and I, and Carl Jr skipped school and went to the Naples Zoo. We were teenagers and going to high school for a few months. Everyone loved Big Carl and Donnas entire family. I haven't seen Carl jr in a long time ,but when I think of him (Happiness) comes to my mind. He was always happy and had a great smile always on his face. He was always with his buddy Jim Allan. My sister and I stopped at Carls golf land to see Carl Jr maybe 4 years ago, but he wasn't there in office, but he did call back later to say hello. Wish we all would have stayed in contact more as we grew older. Tiffany, I have never met you ,but I can only imagine how much you and your children are hurting right now. The right words are difficult to come by we can only let you know we are all thinking of the family at this difficult time. Because of Love you Grieve. We will continue to hold you close in our hearts and in our prayers. Allison Booker Grimes
Back in 1991 when I became a manufacture rep having left the food industry and started in the golf industry is when I first met Carl.
He knew that I needed some help to get started and he and Pete Line took me under their wings.
Carl was incredibly loyal and always asked about how my family was doing.
When he hosted vendor gatherings at the lake he worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was having a great time.
He always showed genuine appreciation for others and he helped those in need.
Blessings to the entire Rose family.
So very sorry to hear about Carl's passing. Had the pleasure of meeting him a few times over the years at the store in which his employees said he was a Great guy to work for and that's why Carls was our go to for anything golf. He lived his life caring about many. R.I.P. Carl. Jim & Christine Ford (Sarasota FL)
Carl E. Rose was a legend in the golf industry and a man of generosity who touched many lives. I had the good fortune to evolve from vendor to friend over the three plus decades we interacted. His love of his family and his business enterprise were emblematic of his outsized and passionate personality. Carl blazed his path in life - following in his parents footsteps and then aiming higher still in all things. I will miss his laugh, his wit and his emphatic love of life. Blessings to Tiffany and his children who provided the light in his eyes. Sincerely,
Brian M. Minbiole
One of my favorite people in this world, Carl always brought a wonderful demeanor to any situation. I met the Rose family through baseball and had the honor to coach Jake with him for many years. The LSI family was truly bettered by the Roses and I will always be indebted. Tiffany is a great woman and an amazing mother. Ella and Jake are lucky to have such loving parents.
I will miss you greatly buddy, but we will meet again on the golf courses and ball fields in the sky.
Some extreme snowmobiling fun together. I'm also writing in memory of your/our buddy Kim. Now that you're both together again, I can hear the laughter coming all the way from Heaven. I won't say "rest in peace", that wasn't your style, nor was it Kim's. Enjoy your eternity to the max!
