Melinda and Doug, your dad was such a man. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have met him and looked after him. We had so many conversations and we also danced the first night I worked. The one thing he often said to me that I will always remember was Life's a Hoot. He will be missed.

I remember the enjoyable times we had together at my parents "Island Lake Resort-Motel" in Brighton, Michigan.

Growing up, my mom, Ginny, (Len's sister) often spoke of her brother with great admiration. This included Len's experiences as an engineer and some of his unique solutions to technical problems. He was a primary influence and inspiration in my career selection as an engineer. Both of my sons have continued in his legacy by also becoming engineers. I can only hope that my sons and myself continue Len's legacy of warmth, kindness, and encouragement, as well. We will miss him.
