When we first met you and Des, while we were walking down the street with Mugsy, we thought, wow a movie star beautiful couple! You took our crazy mutt man and turned him into a real dog; he misses you so much, he turns into your driveway every day looking for you. We love you and miss you our dear, wonderful friend and we will hold your memory in our hearts as a blessing.

Steve was such a compassionate and truly gentle man who could never bypass a pet or wild creature without showing his awe and affection toward them. My Golden retriever was always a fond reminder of his own cherished golden. We saved little ducklings together in the spring when they became separated from their faithful mother patiently waiting in trust of us to return them safely to her and again in the summer we had another rescue opportunity when a mother rabbit had chosen a dangerous spot to hide her bunnies. Maybe his kind and giving nature was too good for this harsh Earth and his magnificent heart was intended for our true home in Heaven. But a part of his loving soul will always remain forever in my memories and protected with affection in my own heart.

Steve as my friend and colleague at NSS and I was in a bad car crash and he and his dad and NSS helped me through a very tromatic time in my life and I am truly grateful to have had the pleasure of you being in my life God must have bigger plans for you my friend I'm sorry for being late to your passing my friend forever in my heart. your friend Always William Joseph burr you are truly missed
