All of us here at Penrickton Center for Blind Children are saddened to learn of Richard's passing and offer our deepest sympathies to the Furnier family. It is truly an honor for our program to be receiving memorial donations in Richard's honor. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Dick's passing but will always remember his love of life, love of family and his joyful candor. I reconnected with him at my father's funeral and he told me many wonderful stories about their childhood, Grandma Anna and other French Road exploits. Glenn and Kenny, my thoughts are with you. We remember Richard ("Dad Furnier) fondly. Even thought we lived faraway and only got to be with him a handful of times, he warmly made us feel like family. He was always so interesting to talk with. His knowledge of history was impressive and we appreciated his interest in talking about Japan and asking about our experiences there. We will miss him and look forward to giving him big hugs in heaven with our Lord.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ken and Glenn. My sisters (Carol and Diane) and I always enjoyed our visits with cousin Dick. He was a special person.
