I first met Joe in 1987 - one of those guys you immediately took a liking to. He was a great story teller and would share a laugh with you anytime. The moment I saw his vast model collection, I knew he was "the guy". Over the years, we got to know Bev as well and shared many fun events; along with trading stories about our cats and crazy experiences feeding the wildlife. My sincere condolences to the Papai family. I had the pleasure of working with Joe, early in my career at Ford Motor Design. As a young designer, he was a great mentor. We shared the same birthday to our surprise. His soft spoken communication was always enjoyable and welcome. Joe will be missed by the automotive design community. May he Rest In Peace.

Joe was a friend of ours for nearly 30 years. He was soft spoken and very knowledgeable with all things automotive. He absence will leave a void in the classic car hobby. But, mostly we will miss his smiling face and warm heart. RIP dear friend.
