To the Spivey Family, so sorry for your loss. I am a former Cass Tech student-athlete, Class of 1981. I played on the girls' basketball team for four years and my brother played for Coach Spivey. I kept the books at many of the boys' games and was always there to cheer the guys on. I remember Coach Spivey being very fashion-forward, passionate and a little tough on the guys - thus the passion. He was part of the CT fabric for many years and brought great pride and success to the CT Basketball program. His legacy will always include the impact he left on so many student-athletes of the famed and hallowed halls of Cass Technical High School. RIP Coach Spivey.

I played basketball and baseball for Coach Spivey. He taught us to work hard and play hard. The basketball team played at Cobo both years I played. The baseball team in 1971 was the only undefeated PSL team during the regular season. He was a great coach and motivator. Made the grace, mercy, and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be the family. May God Bless You.
