I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Steve back when he began his residency at St. John. If I ever had concerns regarding a patient, he always came over to make sure the patient was doing okay. He was a great man and will be missed. Megan--I remember being in the 2 East med room when you told me you just got engaged to Steve. I know that it has been quite a journey since that day. Please know that I am praying for you and your beautiful daughter, Sophia Marie. Again, I am so sorry. God Bless.

Steve and I were interns together at St. John,I lost touch with him after intern year but I was shocked to hear of his passing.Steve was the star of our class and loved by all at St.John.Really devastating that he is gone at such a young age,my condolences to his family during this sad time.

I just want to share my condolences for all the loved one's who lost this very young man. God Bless everyone.

My husband Ben and I got to know "Swis" during their residency together at St. John. Steve was extremely knowledgable and great with every patient he encountered. Whenever he was in the resus bay, I knew things would be handled. My husband Ben learned so much from Swis, and I know Ben looked up to him. They had many conversations about family, and I know he was truly happy when he met Megan. I can only imagine how thrilled he was when he found out he was going to be a father; how over joyed he was when his little girl was born. There are not enough words I can say to help ease the sorrow, but please put your faith in God and he will help heal all the pain. Megan- your daughter is absolutely beautiful... I know you'll keep Swis's memory alive and help her to understand how awesome her daddy was. He touched so many people.... We send our love to you all. Our hearts ache in remembering Steve. We knew him best when he was going through medical school with our sister, Katie. Steve brought much laughter and many good times to our family whenever he was around. He paid special attention to our two kids, and our daughter, Claudia, had a very special relationship with him. I have an eternal memory of her sitting on his lap at a Champs restaurant. Our family has been praying for Steve for a long time, and we will keep your family in our prayers. We were very blessed to know him.
