Chris Milliman

December 20, 1951 - April 7, 2025

Chris Milliman was a beloved mother, wife, sister-in-law and friend. Surrounded by the greatest loves of her life, husband Richard, and son Kyle, Chris passed on April 7, 2025, at home, after bravely battling beyond measure, a rare autoimmune disease. She is loved and already deeply missed by her husband and son, sister in law Nancy and daughter in heart Erika W. along with loving friends and colleagues too numerous to count. Chris is survived by her husband Richard, son Kyle, her sisters Lynn Guyot and Laura Malcom, and their families.

Chris was born on December 20, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan with both undergraduate and graduate degrees. She worked for 40 years at Henry Ford Health System in numerous capacities. Her professional career continued as an educator at Our Lady of Sorrows school in Farmington, Michigan, and the Detroit Public School District at White Elementary. Her most recent employment was with the Jewish Hospice Chaplaincy Network where she worked as the Director Of Enrichment.

Chris passionately loved all things Michigan, especially her Michigan Marching Band ‘family’, and traveling. Chris cared for every person she met and was the ‘backbone’ that held together family and friends with love and kindness which emanated from her beautiful heart. Chris’s happiest moments were spent with her immediate family as well as the family she ‘picked up ‘along the way, who will miss and love her forever.

Visitation for Chris will be held on Monday, April 14th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. She will lie in state on Tuesday, April 15th, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd., Farmington. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
