Beth Ann Fryc, 87, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at Marycrest Senior Community. Beth was born January 23, 1938, in Detroit, the daughter of Ernest and Nellie (Shroyer) Corrigan. On March 11, 1961, she married Richard Ronald Fryc in Detroit. They were married for 61 years until his passing on June 7, 2022.

Beth was a 1956 graduate of Cody High School in Detroit, Michigan. She’s a retiree from Ford Motor Company in Michigan. After having children, she and her family traveled extensively throughout America and with her husband throughout Europe. 

Following Richard’s retirement, they moved from Southfield, Michigan to their beachfront home on Lake Leelanau, Michigan, where she was an avid gardener and painter. They continued their travels with their favorite trips including the Hawaiian Islands and visiting their grandchildren. Special times of the year included sunset summer cruises with their family and friends on Lake Leelanau on their boat the S.S. Guppy, hosting their grandchildren for summer vacation, and holding Christmas celebrations for their entire family.

After Richard’s passing, Beth moved back to metropolitan Detroit. She spent many of her days gardening and antiquing with her daughter, Susan. Sundays brought a bright smile to her face as her day was filled with church and lunch at her daughter’s home. She continued her painting, specializing in watercolors inspired by her daughter’s garden and the many letters she received from her son and daughter-in-law, James and Julie.

Beth is survived by her three children, David (Mary) Fryc, Susan (Thomas) Libertiny, James (Julie) Fritz; four grandchildren, Daniel (Meghan) Fryc, Robyn Fryc, James Fritz, Madelyn Fritz; her great-granddaughter Oakley Fryc; and her in-laws Carol (late Lawrence) Corrigan, Sophia (late Robert) Fryc, and Barbara (late Chester) Wido.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ronald Fryc; parents, Ernest and Nellie Corrigan; brother, Lawrence Corrigan; and in-laws Stanley and Helen Fryc, Clara (Burns) Fryc, Robert Fryc, and Donald Fryc.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10, with the family greeting friends at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Road, Southfield, Michigan 48033.

A private burial in Bingham Township Cemetery, Traverse City, Michigan will follow.
