Brad Johnson

November 22, 1999 - January 25, 2025

Brad Michael Johnson, age 25 of Ypsilanti, passed away January 25, 2025.

Born and raised in Ypsilanti, Brad was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Mostly reserved and a bit shy at first, once you got to know Brad, his engaging personality truly shined. Working his current job with Panera Bread, Brad flourished as he gained a new social circle, joining in on bowling, axe throwing, picnics, and simply hanging out with his friends.

Coming from a tight-knit family, Brad loved spending time with his parents and sister, looking forward to family vacations and game nights. Anything math related was sure to give Brad the upper hand, since he was a master at numbers. He had fun on his own as well, hiking and enjoying nature. His artistic abilities included anything creative, especially drawing and 3D modeling. He also enjoyed a variety of video games, especially Team Fortress 2. He had so many interests and took to each of them with a great passion. He loved anything to do with cars or motorcycles. His collection of swords was impressive, as was his taste in anime and Fumo character figures from Japan. His expensive taste sometimes got the best of him and often extended into his gift giving to those he loved the most.

From day one, orange was Brad’s favorite color. It matched who he was, bold and vibrant, warm and enthusiastic. Music had a great meaning to him, and with music always playing in the background, Brad lived his life with feeling and intent. He will be missed more than can be imagined, especially by his loving family.

Brad was the cherished son of Tony and Wendy. Loving brother of Kayla (Alex Smith). He is also survived by his dear grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation for Brad will be held on Friday, January 31st, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd. Canton. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Canton. Following the committal service, all are welcome to continue to remember Brad with a luncheon in his honor beginning at 3:30 p.m., at LifePointe Church, 45170 Hull Rd., Belleville, MI 48111.
