John Wiiliam Sommer, age 95 of Canton, formerly of Dearborn and Houghton Lake, passed away January 25, 2025.

John was the beloved husband of late Dorothy Irene for 66 years. Loving father of Linda (John) Duskey, Gary (Brenda) Sommer, Janis Cameron, and Barbara (Edwin) Oswald. Proud grandfather of Gary (Kim) Sommer Jr., Christopher (Tamara) Sommer, Nicholas (Theresa) Sommer, Justin (Linzie) Sommer, Brandon (Patty) Duskey, Jason Duskey, Krystal (Tom) Bottonari, Kacy (Chris) Westin, and Edwin (Will) Oswald and 11 great-grandchildren. Dearest brother of the late Gerald Thomas Sommer. Cherished son of the late Emily Catherine and John Herman Sommer.

Visitation for Mr. Sommer will be held Saturday, February 1st, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. He will be laid to rest in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
