Robert Alanson Jewell of Farmington Hills passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2024, at the age of 92 years and 1 day.

Robert was born on December 24, 1932, in Flint, Michigan to Audrey McKenzie Byrne and Arnold Jewell. He went to Dearborn High School and graduated from the University of Detroit in 1956. On January 28, 1956, Robert married Nancy Laskoske (deceased August 13, 1977). He served 3 years of active duty in the US Air Force, primarily at Walker AFB in Roswell, New Mexico, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Robert and his family returned to Michigan in 1959 where he worked as a systems analyst at Ford Motor Company for over 40 years. On May 16, 1998, Robert married Madeline Eggleston Roshak (deceased September 17, 2010). Robert enjoyed spending time on the computer, reading, and cooking.

Robert was the loving father of Ric (Ruth) Jewell, Mary Jewell (deceased December 23, 2015), Maurine  Dailey, Alice (David) Brunelli and stepfather to Craig (Cathy Clark) Roshak, Gary Roshak, Dean (Ann) Roshak, Laurie (Glen Cunningham) Roshak, and Todd Roshak, and proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 

Visitation for Robert will be held at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, Monday, December 30, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, December 31, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Following the service, Robert will be laid to rest in Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
