Stephanie C. Keenoy

January 9, 1947 - December 24, 2024

Stephanie C. Keenoy, age 77, passed away on December 24, 2024. She was born in Detroit on January 9, 1947 to Charles and Elvira Koller.

Raised Downriver, Stephanie was a graduate of Allen Park High School. There, she met Larry Keenoy, who would become the love of her life. The two were married on November 24, 1967 in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. When Larry was drafted to serve during the Vietnam war, he was stationed in the Everglades. Stephanie moved to Florida to be close and lived there for a year before returning to Michigan to stay with her parents until Larry’s return.

Blessed with two children, Stephanie enjoyed raising her son and daughter and taking care of the home. She returned to work once the kids were older, working as a bookkeeper. The Keenoy’s were always close with extended family members, spending plenty of time with their aunts, uncles, and many cousins. When Larry passed away unexpectedly at just 58 years old, Stephanie continued to make sure everyone stayed connected. She stayed active and social as well, meeting every Saturday morning to have breakfast with her friends from her exercise group, a tradition held for many years. She also looked forward to meeting with her Taylor Garden Club and kept a beautiful one of her own. She was a great cook and baker, and even better at toasting to life with a Manhattan and winding down with a B&B cocktail.

Generous in many ways, Stephanie loved to spend time with her grandchildren and donate to more charities than one could keep track of. She was sugar sweet with a dash of salt and had a one-of-a-kind personality that will truly be missed.

Stephanie was the beloved wife of the late Larry for 36 years. Loving mother of Jessica (Mark) Bentley and Zachary Keenoy (Jaimie Elkins). Cherished grandmother of Paige Bentley and Ethan Bentley. Dear sister of the late Chuck (the late Arnhild) Koller, the late Arnold (the late Irene) Koller and the late Ron (Donna) Koller, and sister-in-law of Kathy (Paul) Siupik, Marilyn (Ed) Jones and Maureen (Ed) Bunyak. Also survived by Jaimie’s children, Kira and Tateum Dupuis.

Visitation will continue on Monday, December 30th, at 9:30 a.m., until the time of her Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Following the service, Mrs. Keenoy will be laid to rest in Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock.
