Kenneth J. Szymanski, age 61 of Canton, passed away November 15, 2024. He was born March 1, 1963 in Detroit, to Donald and Phyllis Szymanski.

Meeting his “partner in crime” during their high school years, Kenny and Cindy married on August 8th, 1987 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Detroit. With their whole life ahead of them, the two enjoyed countless adventures together, side by side. They looked forward to traveling all over the world, with Hawaii holding a special place in their hearts, along with their annual trip to Disney World every Thanksgiving. But anywhere near water was where Ken wanted to be the most, especially looking out over the ocean.

Although Ken retired from his truck driving career, it wasn’t like him to sit still. His love of golf led him to take a job with Pheasant Run Golf Club, where he quickly gained a second family. Ken’s booming voice and great sense of humor often captured the attention of anyone in the room, even though he was truly a gentle and humble spirit. His heart was as big as they came, and he would do absolutely anything for anyone. He will be missed as much as he was loved by all who knew him.

Kenneth was the loving husband of Cynthia for 37 years. Dear brother of Donald Szymanski, Karen (Mike) Kobus, Debbie (Larry) Kudla, Keith (Val) Szymanski and David Szymanski. Uncle to Jason and Justin Kudla, Kelly Tierney and Nicole Szymanski. Godfather of Eric, Paige and Jordan. Also survived by his brother-in-law Domenic (Allison) Slifco and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ken will be held on Friday, November 22nd, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ken’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Children’s Miracle Network.
