Julie Blitz, age 64 of West Bloomfield, passed away November 13, 2024. She was born May 9, 1960 to John and Marcelyn Brede.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Julie extended her love and kindness to all and was a dear friend to many. She had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoors. She kept active with skiing, biking, tennis and yoga. At home she loved to garden and care for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Julie was the beloved wife of Michael for 42 years. Loving mother of Jennifer (Ryan) Darichuk, David (Mikala Kearney) and Alec (Alexa). Dear grandmother of Ella Darichuk and Lucas Blitz. Sister of Dan (the late Helen) Brede, Mike (Sue) Brede, Greg Brede and Diane (Todd) Lary. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Blitz will lie in state on Saturday, November 16th, at 9:30 a.m., until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Road, Orchard Lake.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Julie’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
