John August VanWambeke, age 72 of Farmington Hills, passed away November 1, 2024. He was born June 28, 1952 in Detroit to Joseph and Eleanor VanWambeke. 

John was the beloved husband of Christine for 46 wonderful years. Loving father of Andrew and Sarah (Josh) Hacker. Dear brother of James (Eileen) and the late Gerald (Alice), and brother-in-law of Jimmy (Sandi) Covalle. 

Visitaiton for John will be held on Monday, November 4th, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's name are appreciated to the Lymphoma Research Foundation or the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
