Ruth Thomas, age 97, passed away October 25, 2024 in Commerce Twp., Michigan. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond for 39 years before his passing in 1990. She’s survived by her adoring children, David (Lorrie), Clifford (Pina), Carol (Alan), Maureen, Norman (Robin), 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Reiher (Ronald).

Ruth was born January 23, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to John & Clara Bridon. Growing up, Ruth attended Visitation High School in Detroit, Michigan and afterwards worked as a Secretary for Henry Ford II, while Raymond went off to the Navy. Ruth and Raymond were married on September 2, 1950.

Ruth’s peace was found in her faith. She was a devout Catholic and went to church weekly. 

We will dearly miss this beautiful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is also survived by many other loving relatives. May God bless her precious soul.

A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Thomas will be held on Friday, November 15th, at 10:00 a.m., with gathering beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd., Farmington.
