Patricia Ann Balint

Patricia Ann Balint, age 89, passed away July 8, 2024. Born on August 7, 1934, Pat spent most of her life in Detroit and Rosedale Park, later moving to Farmington Hills at Carrington Place Apartments.

Pat attended Mercy High School and the University of Detroit before completing her education in Medical Technology in Southern California. She was a dedicated member of St. Scholastica parish in Detroit, actively participating in the choir and Altar Guild. Pat also had a deep love for animals and enjoyed gardening.

Pat had a passion for fine miniatures, meticulously crafting and decorating dollhouses with tiny furniture, wallpaper, and lighting. She shared this hobby with her nieces, who cherished visiting her attic room filled with these miniature marvels.

An avid photographer and scrapbooker, Pat lovingly documented her nieces and nephews' lives, gifting each with personalized photo albums adorned with humorous captions. She was known for her impeccable taste in gift-giving, always selecting thoughtful presents beautifully wrapped for every occasion.

Above all else, she was a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews, earning the nickname "Iggy" from her sister Lucille's family. Pat's infectious laughter brightened family gatherings, especially when reminiscing with her three sisters.

Pat will be remembered for her warm heart, joyous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Patricia was the loving sister of Joan and Lucille and dearest aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Patricia will be held on Sunday, July 14th, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m with a 4:30 p.m. Rosary Service at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. She will lie in state on Monday, July 15th, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd., Farmington. Following the Mass, Patricia will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.

Memorial donations in Pat's name may be directed to Capuchin Soup Kitchen or Michigan Humane Society.
