Lorraine Levine, age 85 passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2024, in Canton, Michigan surrounded by her family. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Sherwood Levine for 58 years, and loving mother of Sherri Levine.     

Lorraine was born April 10, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Albert and Loretta Krasky. Lorraine resided on the east coast with her husband and daughter until 1978 when the Levine family moved to Michigan and made Canton their home.

A devoted wife and loving mother, Lorraine was the quintessential matriarch. She cherished the time she shared with her dear family. She especially enjoyed family vacations, trying new restaurants, reading and shopping sprees with her daughter. She was a caring grandmother first to Luca Bella and later in life, to Cairo (her daughter’s dogs). She treated and spoiled both like grandkids. According to her daughter, Lorraine was the best Mom ever. She will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her sister-in-law Annette Krasky, nephews Louis A. Krasky (Lisa) and David Krasky (Terrie). In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Louis Krasky.

Visitation for Lorraine will be held on Monday, July 8th, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
