Dianne Marie Jurczak, age 82, passed away on January 21, 2024, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Dianne was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 15, 1941, to Casimir and Helen Buksnes.  On October 3, 1964, she married Dennis M. Jurczak, MD, at All Saints Catholic Church in Chicago.  Dianne was a devoted wife and homemaker supporting her husband’s medical and Navy careers that took them from South Carolina to California, New Hampshire, Illinois, and Connecticut. They eventually settled in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1995, Dennis and Dianne moved to Haslett, Michigan, to be closer to their family. They were married 50 years and shared a passion for traveling together around the world.

Dianne moved to Canton, Michigan in September 2023 to be closer to her family, that included her beloved grandchildren that adoringly referred to her as “Shop” because of her love for shopping with them. Dianne was a devout Catholic who was loved by her family and friends. 

Dianne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis in 2015; her daughter Alicia, age 12, in 1979; and her daughter Laura, age 16, in 1981.

She is survived by her son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Beth and her adoring grandchildren, Grace, Christopher, and Nicholas.

Dianne’s family will receive guests during her visitation on Thursday, January 25th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home – Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Road, Canton. Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 26th, at 11:00 a.m. with her time of in state at 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, 48755 Warren Road, Canton. Mrs. Jurczak will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids beside her husband and daughters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
