Robert “Bob” S. Mihalik, Jr., age 56, of Farmington Hills, entered eternal life December 10, 2021. He was born October 2, 1965, to Robert and Marlene Mihalik in Elizabeth, NJ. 

Bob’s early years began with his two brothers in New Jersey where they made life-long memories with grandparents, aunts, uncles and 8 cousins. The family later made several cross-country moves to follow their father’s successful sales career. The brothers grew up in New Jersey, Tennessee, Michigan, and Kansas where Bob was married. He lovingly co-parented his ex-wife’s four children as he put down his Kansas roots. He became an avid golfer, cook, sports enthusiast, dog-lover and die-hard fan to all Kansas teams and the University of Michigan.

Bob graduated from Baker University and made a career of retail management. He returned to Michigan 6 years ago to be closer to his family. He was very loyal and dedicated to the Staples organization where he felt a strong connection to his role as a mentor.

Bob was patient, had a warm smile, a gentle spirit, and a special connection to animals. His passing leaves a hole in the lives of his family and all whom he touched. Bob is survived by his parents, Robert S. and Marlene Mihalik, his older brother Stephen Robert Mihalik (Susan) and his younger brother Michael Paul Mihalik (Monica).

Visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, December 16th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. He will lie in state on Friday, December 17th from 10:30 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Southfield.
