Carol was a tenacious soul. I remember being recruited to help with Halloween parties. She'd decorate that house to the hilt, being VERY specific when giving instructions so that it was just so, make so much great food and insisting on 20 carved pumpkins - a task which task I was often assigned. When I was exhausted, she was just getting started. She pour her heart into her costume and coordinate spooks to jump out and terrify guest walking up the driveway, all lit with lanterns. After all that work, she was the life of the party and checked on everyone for hours. Anyone who needed to stay the night was welcome and she would be cooking the next morning to feed them. One (you know who you are) stayed for three days and she joked about it with that beautiful grin and throughly laugh for years after.
