I Remember...

I remember Rita being the most patient and kind woman; with a heart as big as the oceans. Her faith in the Lord in answering prayers made a great impression on me. May you rest in peace, Rita, I'm sure our Father in heaven is rejoicing to finally have you home. Love, Judy

A long, long, time ago, we were at the Farmington Founders' Festival sitting on the lawn along Grand River watching the parade go by. I must have been no older than 7 or 8 years old. An old woman was struggling to cut the large lawn behind us and my mom asked me to help her cut the grass, which I did. Once I finished cutting the grass, mom then explained to me that we should never hesitate to help those in need, and especially the less fortunate. A lesson I have never forgotten.
