I Remember...

Mike--what a wonderful spirit! Mike could light up any room he walked in, and was a positive and energetic spirit. I worked with Mike on our Homeowner's Association Board for many years and grew to feel like I was with family whenever I was around Mike. He will be missed! My sincere condolences to the Malia family--may Mike live in your hearts for eternity.

The last time I spoke to Mike was Thursday and he talked about Owen and football and was looking forward to taking Owen to see the new Batman vs. Superman movie. He was really looking forward to seeing the movie. We talked about some new projects and he was working on and we were planning for him visit our plant in the next couple of weeks. Mike and I were part of a sales and development team at Freudenberg and we hit it off from the start. I remember one of the first customer visits I took with Mike. We spent the day with the customer and we invited them to dinner. The customer had plans for "poker night" and invited us. Even though this was the first time Mike had met the customer, he accepted the invitation and stayed up all night playing poker with the customer. The next day Mike was exhausted, sleepy and maybe a little hung over. After that they became one of our best customers. This story always makes me laugh. Mike was always happy and positive. He always made me laugh. It's not often in life that you find a such good friend. I will miss him. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
