I Remember...

Kristi was always such a sparkling personality. When we were kids, the Holts and the Orliks shared several summer picnics and Christmas Eve parties. "Little Kristi" could always be counted on to enliven every event with her giggles -- even when rain forced a picnic inside. Decades later, her beautiful jewelry provided a different sort of sparkle to the world. Even though we have not seen Kristi for several years, we will miss her greatly.

My favorite memory of Kristi was when you kids were very young. We ran the Isbister PTG together & went shopping one day to fulfill teachers' wish lists. When we got out of the car at the store, I tossed my jacket back in the car, not knowing that Kristi was still in the drivers seat. I smacked her full in the face with the jacket, and will always remember how much we laughed at that incident. Still frantically giggling, we went in to the store and I'm sure everyone in there thought we were crazy. One of the best days ever!

Kristi with great love. She was as brave and loving as any human being I have had the honour to meet. May her soul be at peace. My deepest condolences to her family, so beloved by her. Love, Wayne

I considered Kristi being one of my close high school friends. I have old videos of Kristi and friends dancing to the Beatles in my parents' basement. She had the greatest sense of humor and had us always laughing! I actually named my daughter Kristine in honor of two of my close old friends and her nickname is "Kristi". God is now enjoying Kristi's humor!

Kristi and I grew up together in Berkley, Michigan; our backyards flowed together. The four years I lived there, especially the summers, were filled with the joy of imaginative games Kristi and I played, though once I went too far and scared her (I was a year older) with a witch mask in my basement; I was mortified! I remember Kristi's closet filled with toys from her heart operation, and her mom's brilliantly white throw rugs, taking baths before climbing into a bed made with immaculate sheets when staying overnight, and all the fun silly games we played walking home from school. We kept in touch over the years; I will miss her terribly.

I was Gary and Kristi's flower girl! I thought she was such a beautiful bride (and she was). She was so kind. I am very sorry for your loss, Gary and Kelli.

I enjoyed our "Dinner for Eight" group with Kristi and Gary and the lunch outings we have shared since then. Kristi passed on a collection of recipes that I continue to use and have also shared with others. Your mom was a wonderful woman and will be missed.
