I Remember...

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Scott. During my childhood I enjoyed many hours at the Scott home. I always felt welcome at the Scott household; whether to join them for a family meal, a late night stay-over with Andy or to join them on some family event. I remember many times jogging either to or from the Scott house on cold, dark, crispy nights in winter listening to my footsteps crunching in the snow on Quakertown Lane. I often thought that Mr. Scott was the smartest person I knew. I was always amazed as a kid to hear him quickly shout out from the kitchen table the answers to all the questions on Jeopardy, faster than the reigning champion and always phrased correctly. I appreciated the counsel and non-judgmental advice of Mr. and Mrs. Scott when I was a young boy of 15, 17, 19 or 30years old. As I grew older I always felt welcome to stop by and chat whenever I was back in Michigan. I appreciated their warmth and enthusiasm. I was saddened to hear of Iain's' passing however I am cheered to know that he lead a full life with the enjoyment of travel and warm times spent with friends, young neighbor kids like me and a large and extended family.
