I Remember...

I knew COL Coquillo-Canete and Sergio when we were stationed in Yongsan, Korea. I thought of her today and to find she passed nearly 8 years ago. I was sadden to read her obituary. It never too late to say something nice about a person who made a difference to so many Officers like myself. Dr. Bea was a consummate professional, a poise women of Jesus Christ faith, and a freind to many. I'll never forget the beautiful Asian-Pacific program she put together and talked about her father and other ancestry. It was beautiful and a well done program, I will never forget. Rest in peace Dr. B....you surely are in heaven!

I remember so many fond thoughts of my dear friend, Bea. We called her "Aunt Bea" in our Baylor program - she was the first physican class leader at Baylor and she took care of us in a special way. She was kind, patient and a force to be reckoned with if you lost faith in yourself. She always took care of others, it was in her nature. She was a woman of God who was led by her faith. She loved her family so much and always focused on what was important. Bea always made my family feel like it was hers. She was a doctor, a researcher, a problem solver, a wise advisor, a devoted disciple, a true friend. She always gave to others and took pride in the children she helped along the way. She had so many talents and was so strong in her convictions and the example she set for others. Bea always thought of others first, and I believe Bea will be a Saint for all eternity and was called from this earthly life early to lead the way once again for those who need her. I will miss her and look forward to the day that I see her once again in the House of the Lord. May she rest in a well deserved peace as she has met the challenges set forth to her in this life. I love you, Bea.

she bought me my first DVD writer (which at the time was very expensive) and that launched my career into the Graphic Arts. She always supported the endeavors that I entered, and with that support I was able to flourish and reach a potential that I wouldn't have been able to attain on my own.
