I am so saddened by the news of Mike's passing. He was such a wonderful loving and kind friend. He always looked at life in such a positive light and for this I will always be grateful that he was in my life. I will pray for everyone during this difficult and very sad time. Mike will be missed by so many as he was loved by even more. Hugs and much love, Leslie

I had known Mike through work for around 22 years, when he was pretty fresh out of school and I can honestly say his demeanor never changed a bit. Mike was a valued co-worker, but more importantly he was great, enjoyable person to be around. He will be sorely missed by anyone that knew him.

Shocked and saddened by the news of Mike's passing. I have been working with Mike the last 6-8 months or so as a supplier to our organization. Mike always had a smile on his face and was a very nice guy. It is with a very heavy heart that I heard the news. May all of you be comforted in knowing that he will be missed by all that met him. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

To Brian and the entire Malia family. We never lose the people we love, even in death. They continue to live on in every act, thought and decision we make. Your brother's legacy and love has left a permanent imprint in the hearts and in the lives of those he leaves behind. I hope you can find comfort in considering he is without pain and in a beautiful place. He is being greeted by many who loved him and are there to welcome him home. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Trina Davis

I coached Michael when he first started wrestling at St Paul's. He was an energetic and fun kid and my first champion. His father Joe did all the administrative work for the team and is a great man/father. I'm sure Michael was the same way. Also coached his brother Brian. So sorry Joe, Brian and the rest of the Malia family

This past weekend, we lost not only a co-worker, but a dear friend. Mike made every meeting an interesting one. And for that reason, I looked forward to any meeting that Mike was to attend. He could find the humor in the most dull subject matter. As mentioned in previous salutations, he had the ability to brighten the day and it was always a pleasure to have Mike in our presence. His relationship with Owen was made evident to his fellow co-workers as he joyfully described many events he and Owen experienced together. Without a doubt, Owen was his pride and joy. Joseph & Carol: You have to be very proud of the impact your son made in the lives of others. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with your family.

I was shocked and saddened by the of Mike's passing. He was a wonderful person who could brighten up a room. I was a customer/colleague of Mike since 2009 and he used common sense and humor to drive home a point. He will be greatly missed at our Company in Sheboygan.

Mike was one of the most enthusiastic and upbeat people that I have ever known. It was a privilege to have worked with him when he first came to Michigan (Masland) back in 1995. I admired Mike's 'Never Quit' attitude...especially when he tackled some extremely tough jobs with a smile on his face. We are saddened and shocked at his passing, but we are thankful that we were able to get to know him on both a professional and personal level. I will always remember with fondness, and now sadness, our times on the golf course and working in Sheboygan and Lewistown. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family. Mike will be greatly missed...be thou at peace, Mike.

I've worked with Mike for several years and as many were, I was shocked and terribly saddened to hear the news of his passing. I am very sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort in the times ahead go out to all of Mike's family, friends and colleagues. Mike's smile and jovial personality will be sorely missed. One of many things that stood out about Mike was how much he loved his son, Owen, and how very proud he was of him. He was a great dad and a great co-worker. May he rest in peace.
