Dr. Choon Jai Rhee, age 83 of Farmington Hills, passed away peacefully January 28, 2019. He was the loving husband of Mei-Jung Kim. Dear father of Spencer (Sunhee) Rhee and Anita (John) Bae. Beloved grandfather of Madison, Lucas, and Skylar Rhee, and Alexander and William Bae. Cherished brother of Jung-Shin, Jung-Hee, Jung-Hae, and Man Jai. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dr. Rhee retired after 50 years of dedication, teaching mathematics at Wayne State University. In his spare time, he was an avid tennis player and loved classical music and opera. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Dr. Rhee was a lifelong parishioner of Korean Presbyterian Church of Metro Detroit.

Visitation for Dr. Rhee will be held Friday, February 1st, from 6:00 PM until the time of Scripture Service at 7:30 PM at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Road. He will lie in state 9:30 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at Korean Presbyterian Church of Metro Detroit, 27075 West 9 Mile Rd, Southfield, Michigan, 48033. Interment will take place at Oakland Hills Memorial Cemetery, Novi, Michigan.
