SEAVITT, James R. age 68 passed away November 21, 2015. Loving son of the late Harold and Dorothy Seavitt. Dear brother of Nancy Hardin. Caring uncle of Dori Thompson, Jodi Granger, Wendy Hardin, and Greg Hardin. Cherished great uncle of Alex and Lyndsey Thompson and Aurora Criswell.

Jim taught at Power Middle School in Farmington Hills for 38 years. He always supported his students with frequent tutoring sessions or by attending after school functions. Jim was a reliable mentor to both his students and to his fellow teachers. He was awarded Teacher of the Year for both Farmington Hills School District and Oakland County. Upon retirement, Jim was inducted into the Farmington Hall of Fame. He was a kind and thoughtful man to everyone he met and will be greatly missed.

Visitation Friday 10am until 12pm at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Friend Program: Atrium Medical Center, Middletown, OH.
