BREDE, John E. age 85 passed away April 14, 2015. Loving husband of the late Marcey. Caring father of J. Daniel (Helen), Michael (Susan), Julie Blitz, Gregory (Carrie), and Diane (Todd) Lary. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Erin), Elizabeth (Steve), Craig (Michelle), Jennifer (Ryan), Allison, Katie, David, Amanda, Alec, Ryan, Ashleigh, Curt, Audreigh, and Brittney and step-grandfather of Wade and Alex. Dearest great-grandfather of Ella, Stephanie and Mary Clare.

John was born in 1929 during the great depression.  He inherited his monther's sense of humor, which helped the family weather the those tough times.  He worked in the family food business early on, then taking over for his father in the 1960's and growing the business.  He cherished his wife Marcey, and was deeply saddened upon her passing from Alzeheimer's in 2001.  John was a wonderful, caring father and instilled a great work ethic in his five children passing along his can-do attitude.  His life was further enriched with the arrival of grandchildren, who became the light of his life.  That light grew much brighter when great grandchildren arrived, now totaling three.

In state Saturday, May 16th, 10:30 am until mass 11 am at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 Twelve Mile Rd, Farmington Hills. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. A funeral luncheon following graveside service to be held at It's a Matter of Taste, 2323 Union Lake Rd., Commerce. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donation be made to The American Lung Association, or the charity of your choice.
