NICOLAY Jr., Ernest L. “Bud” passed away July 23rd at the age of 84. Loving husband of Betty for 62 years. Deeply cherished by his children Nick, Kathy Ruoff, and Jim along with their families.

Bud was born in Detroit and attended Pontiac High. He graduated in 1948 and obtained his bachelors degree from Michigan State University in 1952. He then served 2 years in the United States Army. Bud started his career working with his father at New Era Potato Chips until 1960. In 1967 he purchased Kar’s Nuts and retired as President in 1995. Bud was a Trustee at Adrian College and a member of Nardin Park Methodist Church. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation Wednesday 1-3pm and 6-9pm at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Funeral Service Thursday 11am at Nardin Park United Methodist Church, 29887 W. 11 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills. Interment at Pine Lake Cemetery, West Bloomfield.
